Talk about a beautiful morning! Matt Lanter and Shenae Grimes went back to work on an all new season of the CW hit 90210 in Beverly Hills, California on Tuesday, July 11th, 2011. Joining them was the equally gorgeous Tristan Wilds for the fun Rodeo Drive Shoot.

The trio looked relaxed in between scenes and even walked around to greet fans that had gathered around the perimeter. The hot boys of West Beverly seemed to have received the most attention, with ladies snapping photos with their mobile phones all around them!

I’m sad that Trevor Donovan won’t be back full time during season four but I am excited to see a whole lot more of Mr. Lanter!

Matt Lanter is ditching the beaches of Beverly Hills for the foggy streets of London in his upcoming psycho-sexual thriller, Liars All – and he tells HollywoodLife.com to expect a side of him you’ve never seen before! Let’s just say the movie involves threesomes, a nasty game of truth or dare, and a pretty good chance of death. Read on for our full interview with Matt!

What attracted you to Liars All in the first place?

It’s a good script, number one. It’s a pyscho-sexual thriller, but it’s very character driven. There are a bunch of young adults who basically carry out this truth or dare game on New Year’s Eve in London — and it takes some bad turns. The way the characters interact, there are a lot of desires and a lot of denial happening so you kind of see how that affects the characters and the lengths they’ll go to get what they want.

What’s your character, Mike, all about?

Mike’s an intelligent guy. He’s the kind of guy that doesn’t always get the girl, and he doesnt know why. He doesn’t have that ‘it’ factor, that confidence. And one of the other characters in the movie does. So my Mike is envious and wants the girl he can’t have. It’s interesting, because it’s a new character I haven’t really gotten to play yet. It’s a very detailed and complex script, driven by the characters and their emotion. So it’s fun.

And which girl gets to play your love interest?

There’s two. I’m pining after one girl [Gillian Zinser's Missy] and this other girl is pining after me [Sara Paxton's Katie.] It’s like this whole web of desire. It always creates tension and drama.

Any hot scenes we should be particularly excited about?

We definitely have some steamy scenes for sure.

With both women at once?

Let me just tell you, it is at once. I was the sandwich there. The way it fits in is really interesting and intelligent. It’s not really done just for the ‘wow’ factor. … It got a little steamy there with me, Sara and Gillian. It was fun. Sarah Paxton is so fun. We’re making out, doing our thing — kissing, rubbing — and the next second, we’re cracking up after a take.

Was it awkward being in the middle of two girls?

Not really. … How does that make me sound? I was like, ‘I’m going to work today and having a threesome.’ Those two girls are so much fun and just kind easy to laugh with. I know Gillian well, and I’ve actually known Sara through some friends. So we all kind of knew each other. We’re all professional, we’ve all done it before. So we’re kind of used to the making out thing.

Speaking of Gillian, were you happy you got to work together outside of 90210?

It was weird at first. I was talking to the producers and was like, ‘You know Gillian and I are on the same show, right? Is that going to be off?’ They were like, ‘No, we’re cool.’ We went with it. It’s great. Again, I play a completely different character from the character I play on 90210. And so does Gillian.

And should we be worried about you surviving the movie? The last time we saw you on the big screen, you were getting stabbed by Leighton Meester.

I shouldn’t say if I survive or not — but, yeah, whats up with that? I keep getting all these Twitter messages asking why I keep dying in movies! People are really upset about it for some reason. It’s nice to feel that love from Twitter, but I’m getting a LOT of complaints, like ‘You need to be in a movie where you dont die!’ It is what it is.

Matt tells about 90210 season finale, storylines, and Liars All!

Poor Matt Lanter. If only he were more attractive, we'd probably see so much more of him on 90210.

Just kidding, he's completely hot and happily dealing with some pretty crazy storylines for his character Liam. Tonight, the third season of 90210 wraps up, with an ending that will surely set up the group's transition to college. But as Matt tells us, the season finale is going to be anything but drama free for Liam and the rest of the gang.

And that's just the way we like our 90210 epsiodes…

How have you felt about Liam's story arc over the course of the season?

Matt Lanter: I would have liked to see Liam's story develop a bit more this season. Yes, we saw Liam struggle with the relationship with his stepbrother Charlie (Evan Ross) for a couple episodes and he dealt with crazy drug-dealing Laura, and of course his relationship ups and downs with Annie (Shenae Grimes), but there could be so much more to him and I'd love to see that happen next season.

Any surprising storylines for your character or anyone else's that threw you for a loop or really shocked you when you read it in the script?

I just have no idea how they can possibly bring Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) back from the horrible place she is in at the moment! She has done some really terrible things to Silver (Jessica Stroup) towards the end of the season here. I think it will take a lot for people to like her again.

Michael Desmond/The CW What can we expect for Liam in the season finale?

He takes an interesting path for the summer that most high school grads don't take. It leaves his story and his relationship with Annie open-ended. I think we will be wondering if we'll see him again by the end of the season.

Is there a scene or moment in the finale that you are really excited for viewers to see?

I think the final scene between him and Annie is interesting. And if we did it right, it should strike an emotional chord. Like I said, things are open-ended, so viewers are really going to want more at the end of the episode. I think people will have different opinions on what they plan on being as a couple after that moment.

What about the rest of the characters? Can we expect cliffhangers for them?

I think there are cliffhangers for most of the characters. Some are positive and encouraging. But overall I feel like we really stayed away from the traditional cheesy cliffhangers.

What will you be working on over the summer during your time off?

I just wrapped a lead role in an indie film called Liars All. It's a psychosexual thriller that has to do a lot with desire and denial. It centers on a group of individuals who partake in a New Year's Eve game that changes their lives. That said, it's a very character-driven film that exposes these young adults' inner demons. We have a few pickup shots in London next week, and then I'll spend a little time at home before heading down to Disney World for Star Wars Weekends, supporting the Clone Wars in which I voice Anakin Skywalker. After that, who knows? Maybe I'll post up on some Caribbean beach somewhere!

Matt Lanter, Gillian Zinser, Torrance Coombs and Sara Paxton will star in the psychological thriller Liars All, written and directed by Brian Brightly. The indie production is scheduled to begin filming Monday in L.A.

Alice Evans, Tiffany Mulheron and Randy Wayne also appear in the story of a group of friends celebrating New Year’s Eve in London by playing a provocative game that ultimately gets terribly out of control.

Jeffrey Allard of Indie Entertainment is producing along with Joey Carey of Sundial Pictures. Stefan Nowicki of Sundial, Alex Sagalchik of Mott Street Pictures and Kevin

Iwashina and Ross Dinerstein of Preferred Content are serving as executive producers.

Preferred Content will handle North American sales of the film, while Cinema Management Group will shepherd foreign sales at Cannes.

Repped by WME and Emerald Talent Group, Lanter has appeared recently in The Roommate, Vampires Suck and Sorority Row. He is also a regular on the CW series 90210.

Repped by Suskin Management, Zinser is a regular on 90210.

90210 Graduation...the end of the show?

Prior to shooting their May 16 season finale graduation episode, many of the 90210 actors had never worn a cap and gown. "I did graduate from high school, but I never got to do the whole walk across the stage and receive your diploma thing," says Shenae Grimes, whose Annie hopes to attend Carnegie Mellon in the fall. "I think it was a first for almost half our cast."

The question now: Will these grads make it to the fictitious California University, attended by their Beverly Hills, 90210 predecessors? That's up to The CW. "We don't know what's happening to the characters or even if we're coming back at all," says Matt Lanter (Liam). "So it's actually an appropriate ending, with a lot of the characters left in a positive way."

Stepping Out For Alzheimer's!

Two of Hollywood’s hot boys, Matt Lanter and Trevor Donovan stepped out to support a great cause. The 90210 duo attended the 19th Annual “A Night At Sardi’s” benefitting the Alzheimer’s Association at The Beverly Hilton hotel on Wednesday, March 16th, 2011 in Beverly Hills, California.

“A Night at Sardi’s” is an annual celebrity musical revue and awards dinner to benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. To date, “A Night at Sardi’s” has raised more than $18 million to address this rapidly growing health crisis. The Alzheimer’s Association funds cutting-edge research, raises awareness and helps to address the needs of Americans living with the disease and their caregivers.

On a side note, isn’t young Mr. Lanter looking all kinds of hot in these pictures? I swear, when all that drama was surrounding Hollywood’s newest bad boy Alex whats-his-face landing a role in Mortal Instruments and/or The Hunger Games, I wondered why he was being considered in the first place.

I don’t know about you guys but he is not even all that. I’d prefer seeing Lanter on the big screen over him anyways.

Furthermore, his movie I Am Number Four pretty much flopped so I hope people get the picture and begin to expand their horizon’s when picking out their leading men. Don’t you wonder why I don’t have ONE picture posted of him on here?!

Matt Lanter plays the voice of all things Anakin in The Clone Wars. He also plays bad boy Liam in 90210. I first met Matt at last year's Star Wars Celebration in "Lando" Florida where I interviewed him for MTV Geek. I immediately felt a strong connection since he worked with Carrie Fisher in the movie Sorority Row. That lucky dawg!

Let's have a quick touch base with Matt as he discusses the dark side of Anakin, his golf game and his Princess Leia buns photo session denial! *Somehow* I'll recover...

LW - You play the role of Anakin in Clone Wars. How has it been seeing such an emotional change in Anakin this season, as he begins to dip into the dark side? Anything about upcoming season 4 you can give us?

ML - It's pretty cool. As a fan, I think it's amazing that we are getting to explore this time in Anakin's life. We never really got to see the gradual progression of Anakin's slide towards the dark side. It wasn't sudden. It was years of being pushed and pulled in different directions by the Jedi order and by Palpatine. Combine those factors with some of the tragic events that he has experienced in his life and you may see more clearly why he slipped to the dark side. We really get to add huge pieces to the Star Wars puzzle with these recent episodes. Season 4 will continue on with darker moments like we have just seen in the "Mortis" arc, bringing Anakin closer and closer to Darth Vader.

LW - You also play the voice of Anakin in Star Wars Legos game. My mom got me that for Christmas, got any hot tips for me?

ML - I haven't played it yet!

LW - Twitter told me that occasionally you come to NYC. What are some of your favorite things to do here?

ML - I do have a tremendous appreciation for NYC! It's so alive all of the time. I really haven't spent enough time there to tell you where my favorite hang outs are but I do love Central Park. It's like this oasis in the middle of the city. So unique.

LW - So Matt, we haven’t spoken since Star Celebration V last August. Any fond memories of Celebration come to mind, besides me of course, that you’d like to share?

ML - Celebration is always a blast! It's just fun to be there with the rest of the cast and crew from The Clone Wars and, of course, all of the fans. Everyone is just happy to be there sharing in something we all love. I do have to say, seeing everyone dressed up in these crazy costumes and the length they go to is just incredible. That’s probably one of my favorite parts.

LW - I see your birthday is coming up on April 1st! Happy early birthday Matt! Got any big plans or do you think your buddies have any April fools plans for you?

ML - Thanks. Funny enough, I really haven't had any jokes played on me in the last several years. Maybe it's just because I'm an adult now and adults don't care about April fools....at least that's the feeling that I get.

LW - Last time we spoke, we talked about your golf game. Had any great shots lately? Ever use the Force to move the ball around when you get frustrated?

ML - No I'm strictly forbidden from using the Force to better my golf game. Of course, I've had some great shots...every time I play. Unfortunately, I have more bad shots than good so the game continues to frustrate me.

LW - And I see The Roommate just came out, congrats!! So I’ve been hearing some buzz about this steamy sex scene. Have any idea what everyone’s talking about?

ML - I might. It's kinda of kinky and morbid all at the same time... You'll just have to see it.

LW - So normally, Matt, I end my Q+A w/my fellow Jedi trying on my Princess Leia buns for a nice photo. Since we’re conducting this Q+A on opposite coasts the Force may not be with me on this. But if you were here in NYC, you would try the buns on for me, wouldn’t you?

ML - Hmm I think I'll pass on that offer. I can't imagine Star Wars fans would be too happy to see The Chosen One rocking the Leia buns. Something about that just wouldn't be right. Or at least that’s my excuse.

Kicking off the work week, Shenae Grimes and Matt Lanter were spotted on the set of “90210” yesterday afternoon (January 24).

The CW costars shot scenes in downtown Los Angeles, including a take where Shenae’s character gets bitten by a monkey.

In related news, Matt recently weighed in on the new MTV show “Skins” that’s causing all kinds of controversy.

When asked if the show’s racy content is too much for the underage stars he replied, “Yeah, kind of. Look, a lot of us on ‘90210’ are a little older than high school as most people probably know. I think that maybe there’s a purpose for some of that.”

An exciting and revolutionary new view of the Force? Journey with Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Matt Lanter (voice of Anakin Skywalker) to the mysterious planet Mortis in the latest issue of Insider. Here's an extract from the interview...

Star Wars Insider: Do you agree with the decisions Anakin makes? As an actor do you have to justify his actions to yourself?
Matt Lanter: I'm very close to the character. Up until the end, when his emotions get the best of him, Anakin thinks he's on the right path. He thinks the Senate has been corrupted. He thinks the Jedi are corrupt. He believes he's doing the right thing. Even at that point he believes that. At this point, he is brash and he does go after the enemy rather than take care of the wounded. I can empathise with Anakin, yes. He makes some brash decisions, but you can't always go by the book. Sometimes you've just got to get it done.

What appeals to you most about the character?
Anakin is probably one of the most complex characters in science fiction history. Right now he's the fun-loving charming hero that every boy looks up to. It's a lot of fun to play those dark moments, because that makes the character very human. To play both aspects is a dream job - being part of Star Wars and voicing Anakin. The saga is all about Anakin and Darth Vader!

When you signed up did you realize you'd be doing these kind of episodes? Did you expect anything like the Mortis episodes?
I had no idea the show was going to be this huge, worldwide. When I auditioned, we didn't know anything. It was very secretive. I didn't even know exactly what I was reading for! We've got such a talented writing team and animation team, and George obviously tells some fantastic stories, so nothing surprises me. Something as big as this reveal, though, did shock me when I read the script. It really changes your perception of something as big as the Force, how you see it through all six films. That's when I think The Clone Wars is at its best, when it reveals something, or changes something, or really adds to how we see the films. That's when we know we're doing a good job, when we fit right in and we're changing the way things are thought about. That's what the prequels did for the original trilogy - it changed the way we saw things in the original trilogy completely. That's what The Clone Wars is doing. It's pretty incredible.

Sometimes the journey is just as important as the destination. So while we all know that Anakin Skywalker is destined to don that iconic black suit, pick up some respiratory problems and have massive issues with his son (and the entire galaxy), it’s kind of fun to find out how he gets there. Matt Lanter has the fun job of playing Mr Skywalker before he turns into sci-fi’s most iconic villain, providing some Jedi vocal stylings in Star Wars: The Clone Wars (currently airing on Saturdays at 5.30pm on Sky Movies Premiere). We caught up with him for a chat…

You record your parts many months before the show makes it to the screen. Does it feel like you’re watching the story for the first time when you see it on TV?
Yeah, it most definitely does. It’s really hard to remember stuff that we’ve recorded literally a year ago, maybe even longer. Sometimes interviews are a little hard because someone’s asking us to tease what’s coming up or something, and you’re thinking, “I don’t remember what’s coming up!” But it’s cool because I get to watch it like a fan – I just totally forget what’s happened and what the episode’s about. It’s kind of nice.

Were you a Star Wars fan before you got the part?
I had seen a couple of the movies, but I really honestly didn’t know enough about the characters and about the story to call myself a Star Wars fan, but after getting the role I went back and obviously watched all the films, and I’m really into it now. I’m pretty much the biggest Star Wars geek, so I watch The Clone Wars just like any Star Wars fan would.

Did you pay close attention to what Hayden Christensen had done with the part in the prequels?
It definitely is a different Anakin that we’re seeing in The Clone Wars. He’s much more heroic, much more charismatic I guess, a lot more fun and witty, and it was a conscious decision by George Lucas and Dave Filoni [Clone Wars' supervising director] to bring it out, because we didn’t see it in the films. We hear in A New Hope from Old Ben that Anakin was a good friend and a great pilot, this amazing warrior, so we’re actually getting to see that part of him. Having said that, of course I watched Hayden and just picked up Anakin’s characteristics. It’s always good just to pick up as much as you can, whether I’m using that in a daily performance or not, because I’m not really imitating a voice or a tone, I’m kind of doing my own thing.

Is voice acting, where you don’t have to worry about your appearance, freeing for a performer?
Definitely. It’s interesting, because I do a lot of on-camera stuff too, and it’s such a different world. When you use your body you use your face, you have to hit marks for lighting, you have to remember the lines… It’s much different to voice acting where all you have to do is read the lines – you don’t have to memorise, you don’t hit marks, but at the same time it’s challenging, because you only have your voice to express emotion in that character, and you have to make sure that by your voice tone alone you’re getting what you need out of the character and what that character needs to be expressing in the moment.

How much idea do you have of what the scene you’re about to play is going to look like?
We obviously have what’s written in front of us on the page, but Dave Filoni does a really good job of setting things up for us and explaining our situation and the attitudes of the characters. He knows exactly how he wants to shoot it, so he’ll explain to us as best he can what’s going on in this world or the camera angles. It’s tough, because a lot of times we’re about to hit the record button and I’m like, “Hold on, hold on – Dave, how far are we from each other, are we ten feet from each other or are we 50 feet apart? And are there blasters and lightsabers in the background?” So he’ll stop and he’ll kind of explain there’s a lot of gunfire going on, that it’s a very intense moment, so he does a good job of that. But sometimes it doesn’t work and in the future we’ll do a pick up line or something, but now I guess we’ve got it down to an art, a science.

Do you move around a lot and act out the role when you’re recording?
Voice actors all work differently. Corey Burton who plays Dooku and Ziro the Hutt – totally different characters – is cool because you can watch him, and all he’s doing is sitting in a chair but his entire body language changes and you can tell which character he’s in just by his body language alone. I’m kind of animated. It helps, especially when you’re doing a lightsaber fight or you’re doing something active and you’re trying to get the grunts, the hits or the jumps in your voice. Sometimes me and Ashley [Eckstein, who plays Anakin's Padawan Ahsoka] pick up pencils like lightsabers and swing them around. But you’re limited, you’ve only got a few movements you can do because you’re right there at the microphone. And sometimes they do film us – they’ll tape us and take us back to the animators so they can use our facial expressions for the characters.

Are we seeing a different Anakin in season three? Is he moving more towards the Dark Side?
I think he’s always getting a little closer to that. By the third season I think you’re going to see a bit more of the Dark Side coming out here and there. I think there’s going to be some physical changes as the season progresses, into more of a Revenge Of The Sith look and also you’ll see a lot more dark moments. We do know we have to take him to the place of becoming Darth Vader, so we’re very conscious of that.

Does being in The Clone Wars make you watch the movies differently? Do you feel possessive of the character when you see someone else playing him?
I certainly do. I think that every actor feels a bit of ownership of that role - there’s only been a few of us that have played Anakin in the history of Star Wars and I’m very honoured to be one of them. But yeah, it definitely changes the way you see the movies, and that’s exactly our goal, to change the way that the movies are seen, because we’re filling in the time gap with information that is crucial and you get to see a whole other side of somebody’s character like Anakin which we didn’t really know existed – we need to see this fun heroic witty Anakin who’s saving the Republic, and then of course for him to turn to the Dark Side is that much more tragic, and it really makes the story much more sad, because he was such a good guy.

You’re also one of the stars of 90210, which has a fanbase that probably doesn’t know you’re in Star Wars and vice versa. Is it a very different experience?
Everything is different from the creative process to the way it’s received, to the types of fans that are receiving it – everything is different, which is to my advantage. I think it’s awesome. I have such a good time, it’s a way to be creative as an actor in completely different ways, and of course I have two different types of audiences. As you said, some don’t even know the other exists, but it’s cool because I can be a teen heartthrob I guess, for want of a better word, and also I can geek out with Star Wars fans at conventions because I’m just as big a geek as anyone else.

So you’d be happy if someone were to give you a Star Wars pop quiz?
I would say yes. At this point I’m fairly confident in my Star Wars knowledge.

Here are some more pics of "Mr. Sweet", which is my personal nickname for Matt. Hope you enjoy them! I will try to keep any events he does updated on here as much as possible, since we won't be having any new episodes for a few weeks to post.

In other news Matt is rumored to have a new starring role in a movie feature entitled Ruby McCollum, which is currently in pre-production. He is reportedly playing the character of Frank Cannon. (Hopefully no relation to Mr. Cannon of 90210!)

Be sure to check out the Tinkerbell Movie Official Trailer below that is slated for release in 2011! Matt will voice the character of Sled! (My daughters are giggling in anticipation for this one!)

(Note: There are some discrepancies in the release date for this production. Reportedly Disney released a pamphlet that states the release will be 2012, not 2011, as stated by IMDB. However, others claim to have received the same pamphlet with the 2011 date listed...so who knows? Guess we will have to wait and see!)

The Liam Reel for "Holiday Madness"

Well, though we didn't get to see much of Matt again in this episode, what we did see was very good, which really is no surprise because everything Matt touches always comes off beautifully.

We first see Liam after Annie and Dixon have rushed to his aide. They have checked him out of the hospital and bring him home to recuperate at their house. I briefly wondered where Laura and her mom were during all of this since he lives with and works for them, and got the crap beat out of him because he was trying to stand up for Laura. Seems more than slightly weird that she was nowhere to be seen. Anyway, Liam was being true to his macho self, complaining about being babied as Dixon is holding him up to help him walk. The brother/sister duo manage to convince our boy that letting them help is the best way to go, especially after Annie threatens him with her "fists of fury". Ooh, scary! Liam could have probably died laughing with that threat.

In the next scene we find Annie carefully changing Liam's bandages as the two sit together on Dixon's bed. They seem to be leaning toward having a bit of a moment which, of course, is interrupted in true 90210 fashion by the arrival of Liam's brother, Charlie, who is also Annie's current boyfriend. Liam goes ballistic when he sees Charlie there, as he has no love for his long lost brother, and he yells for Charlie to get lost, even when Charlie tries to talk to him. Charlie leaves and Annie follows after him to try and smooth things over.

We then go the typical half of a show without being graced with Liam's presence again, (anyone see a trend happening here?) but when he does finally come up again, he is sleeping with Annie watching carefully over him. She wakes him up to check on him, since he has a concussion. He slowly sits up, leaning back against the headboard, so he can talk to her, scooting over when she comes to sit on the bed next to him. Liam then apologizes for the way things are with Charlie and confesses that that isn't the only reason he has such a hard time. He tells Annie that he is in love with her (my breath actually caught) and that he that he has been in love with her for a long time. (heart skips a beat) Annie reciprocates his feelings by leaning toward him and Liam kisses her lovingly. (Enter wistful sigh here and rewind scene a couple of times.)

Near the end of the episode we see Annie's phone going off on the nightstand and she reaches over to check it, finding a text from Charlie asking how Liam is doing. She ignores the text and rolls over in bed to snuggle up to a very undressed and sleeping Liam. And so while we see that Liam finally bagged his girl, I have to wonder how great it really was since he could barely move from his injuries! I also wondered where Debbie was during the time nurse Annie was getting it on with her patient, and I wondered what in the heck Dixon was going to think when he walks into his room and finds Annie and Liam naked in his bed. Um....can you say awkward? Sometimes I think the writers for 90 don't think their scenes all the way through, and we all know they often don't follow up on things that have happened too. Seeing that I am a writer myself, I'm very particular about things adding up, so this lack of attention to detail tends to bug me more than a little bit sometimes.

But writing flaws are certainly none of Matt's fault, and as usual he executed everything to complete believable perfection! Was there ever any doubt? I keep wondering though when the CW will wake up and realize that they aren't really utilizing the greatest asset they have on the show? Why don't they see what the rest of their viewers see? Matt Lanter is a gem among gems!

The rest of the episode, though entirely too "Mattless", was good too...though I hope we can get back to "no drama Adrianna" soon because she is thoroughly annoying this way.

Regarding Paparazzi Shots

Just a little information notice. Yes, I am aware that there are new paparazzi pictures out of Matt and I specifically didn't post them because I feel that is an invasion of his privacy. Matt poses for more than enough event pictures, fan shots, interviews, on set shots, and professional shoots to keep his fans happy. I find the idea of following someone around with a camera during their private time extremely disturbing and I will not promote that industry by publishing those photos here. If it's show or event related I'm happy to post some of those pictures, because he is out to be "seen". But stalking him on a street...not a chance. So thanks for the heads up, but it's a no go on this blog! Sorry! :D

This week's Liam Reel, from The Best Lei'd Plans

Alright. First things first! Kudos to the CW for actually having Liam in this episode and easing the panicking minds of Matt Lanter fans the world over! From hardly seeing him at all, to a brief hiatus from a new episode, women were beginning to be seen walking around listlessly with vacant looks upon their faces as "Lack of Lanter" syndrome spread like a wild epidemic. Doctors in many nations were terrified for their patients as they were completely helpless to give a remedy for the disastrous disease. There is of course only one cure...and that is more Matt!! So welcome to today, where women are happy, sighing in content once again, eating chocolate and repeatedly hitting the rewind on their DVR's as their eye candy cure takes to the screen once again. Thanks for providing the needed medicine, CW, and please don't let us down again!

Now, onto the show! We started things off with our hunky bad boy driving his hot muscle car down the road with the delightfully irritating Laura in tow. Liam is complaining about wanting to hang out with his friends and not with Laura. He gets a little rough with her and Laura smartly turns on the waterworks, sending Liam off on a massive guilt trip. Laura works the magic even further with her sob story and Liam takes the bait hook/line/sinker and allows Laura to reel him in perfectly. Nice catch Laura!

We are next treated with Liam, and the rest of the gang, showing up for a friend support luncheon for the new diva-on-the-block, Adrianna. We get to see a small bit of the bros in action with Dixon and Liam doing some gentle ribbing of each other, which was far more entertaining than the rest of the scene. I love the guy chemistry on this show. It's lots of fun and I wish there were more of those scenes.

I LOVED the whole chicken/pork, dating Ivy scene, and especially the let-me-give-my-bro-some-love part at the luau! HILARIOUS! I was totally laughing out loud! This is precisely the chemistry I'm talking about and hope we will see more of because...well, it's just good.

We get to meet "hot and compassionate" Liam as the luau continues on and he finds himself with Laura once again as she freaks out over seeing her ex. Liam boldly steps up into the role of white knight, pretending to be Laura's boyfriend and even going so far as to kiss her in an attempt to make her ex jealous. Laura can't believe he's being so nice to her and Liam confesses that he feel he owes her one for helping him out when he needed it. I thought that showed a bit of humility in Liam, so it was nice to get to see a new dimension added to his character, thus making him seem more "real" and well rounded. Laura exclaims that Liam is "amazing" after that. Welcome to the party sweetheart...we've all known that for a while!

Unfortunately, Liam's acts of charity prove to be disastrous for him in the long run, his acting bringing on the jealousy a little too well, as Mr. Ex and his buddy catch him alone in the parking lot. They have the gall to threaten Liam, who in true Liam form is not intimidated at all, but issues the scum bags a warning of his own. "Stay away from Laura." The two guys decide to jump him, and while Liam gets a couple of good punches in, two attacks at the same time proves to be more than even he can handle and we leave the episode with our boy rolling in agony down on the pavement! Not Good!!!

As usual, Mr. Lanter nailed each scene with perfection, proving once again why he is just so darn AMAZING! In fact, I think that if you looked the word "amazing" up in the dictionary you should find a picture of Matt Lanter, because everything about him defines that word to a T! The boy is like a stick of dynamite! Completely explosive and can devastate any viewers heart!! Way to go Matt!! :)

Also, for all you still needing more of a Matt fix, don't forget that Vampires Suck came out on DVD today!! WooHoo!! A Matt fest with extra features!! Now that's what I'm talking about!! Hurry out and buy your copy and get to enjoy Matt in some high comedy!!
My favorite line from the movie? "That was AMAZING!" (haha) Go figure!!

This week's Liam Reel "They're Playing Her Song"

Welcome to this week's "Lack of Liam" reel. To say I'm just a little bit disillusioned with 90210 right now would be an understatement. As I have sat back and watched Matt's screen time get smaller and smaller, week after week, I have to start questioning what is going on in the writer's heads. I understand that Matt films on other projects, and at times there are scheduling conflicts for him, but seriously...under 2 minutes worth of screen time? I think that is pushing the limits to the extreme by quite a bit.

I have to say I got so hot over this issue that after a bit of texting with some other viewers after the show I fired off a direct message to Matt asking him where the heck he is. (Sorry Matt...no really...I am.) I just find the whole situation completely baffling. I'm not saying there aren't other good storylines on the show, or other good actors, there are. But Matt Lanter is an AMAZING actor who lights up the screen every time he's on it. I'm not the only one who thinks he's something special, so why doesn't the show seem to appreciate the caliber of star that he is?

All ranting aside though, Matt was stellar once again in the the two times he appeared in the episode, making his scenes fun and believable. I don't think I've ever seen him not hit his mark right on. He's a joy to watch.

I hope we will see a lot more of him in the coming weeks, otherwise I'm left to wonder where this fan will go to get her "Lanter fix"! I guess it's a good thing Vampires Suck is coming out on DVD soon!!

Before Bubba Watson left Southern California yesterday to head back to his home in Scottsdale, he met up with actor Matt Lanter for a round of golf at Shady Canyon Golf Club. The two got in touch through Twitter and Bubba made it a point to get together during his time here at the Travis Mathew offices.

Matt Lanter is currently playing the role of Liam Court on the CW’s hit show “90210”. He is also the voice of Anakin Skywalker for the animated series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.” Matt recently played the role of Edward Sullen in the comedy “Vampires Suck”. Along with the CW’s “90210”, You can see Matt in 2011 starring next to “Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester in the thriller “Roomate”. This Week's Liam Reel, from "Mother Dearest"

We first see Liam in this week's episode while he is having a "bro moment" with the guys at the beach. I love the chemistry of the guys when they are just hanging out together and some of the snarky comments they bounce around with each other. It's a lot of fun to see them throw digs at each other.

I was surprised to hear that Liam went so easy on crazy psycho gal. He will deal with her but not the drugs. I expected him to be a little more irate about the whole purse development from last week. That seemed a little too laid back for our easily irritated guy to me, but maybe this storyline isn't done yet?

The guys brotherly love moment is interrupted then by Ivy's arrival, once Dixon deals the dish that Ivy cheated on him. This leads to moments of obvious discomfort for everyone and Liam and Navid hurriedly excuse themselves from the scene eager to escape it.

The next scene where Liam appears is in cafeteria with Navid. They are discussion the very heavy and not-to-be-taken-lightly subject of what kind of super hero they would rather be, when Ivy pops up, once again causing uncomfortable silence. But at least the boys tell it to her straight this time so she know exactly where she stands with them.

Later Dixon and Liam burst quickly into a scene between Navid and Silver to see if they are coming to see Adrianna on the red carpet. After that we see Liam hanging with the gang as a background character with the fans on the red carpet.

So, while Matt once again played every one of his scenes to complete perfection as usual, here comes my weekly rant once again. Where the heck was he? His total screen time clocked in at less than three minutes!! I have to say that I'm completely boggled with this! I have read articles just this week that tout Matt as the savior to this show, the reason for the initial rating jump clear back in season one, even being called the "leading man" in this ensemble cast. If that is indeed the case, which I tend to think it is since everyone I know solely watches the show to see him, WHY is he not being utilized to his full potential? It's a complete waste of a talented actor who has the potential to be one of Hollywood's biggest stars! This guy is the real deal! So come on CW... let us see his acting chops! Give the boy some MAJOR story lines please! Hopefully we will catch more of him next week!!

Matt Walks For Memories!

Yesterday Matt participated in the Memory Walk for the Alzheimer's Association, which is one of the charities he regularly supports along with the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation. The 5K event took place at Century Park in Los Angeles, and raised nearly $600,000.00 in donations to go toward the cause.

The Liam Reel "Welcome to the Undies"

This episode started out very promising with a Matt Lanter, a.k.a. Liam, scene to start things right off. I think I chuckled every single time Matt appeared on screen tonight, except for perhaps the last time he was on, which was when I was yelling at him to RUN and get away from psycho girl, Laura! That chick is keeping some BAD company.

I LOVE watching Matt pull off irritated Liam. It's hilarious! The eye rolls, the deep sighs, and the body language are pure genius I'm telling you. Watching him grow more aggravated and completely annoyed is so much fun, especially when you know this is LIAM we are talking about, which means all of this is probably building to some sort of a good explosion. You can actually FEEL the exasperation rolling off of him through the screen! It's great!

The "bro fest" chemistry is a lot of fun to watch as well. I really like the camaraderie that occurs in these scenes with the guys. I love the comedy and gentle ribbing that goes on among the group. It's really makes the guys come off as friends.

I'm interested to see how Liam will handle the whole drug selling shenanigans. Will he be hot-headed and appalled, telling Laura where she can put those drugs, or will he allow her to explain and coerce, possible pulling him in as a partner. Liam is down on his luck after all and money is a big issue for him. I'm a little worried about the temptation this could possibly be for Mr. Dark-and-brooding. He hasn't always made the best of choices. Hopefully he will be the same guy who thought Navid was an idiot when he was trying to plant drugs on Jasper. I guess time will tell...

So, while Matt proved without a doubt that he can still look macho-manly while covered in ladies hand bags, I still wish we could see a little more of him. However, I must say the rest of the episode was a masterpiece. I really enjoyed all of the other story lines and I like that the writers seem to be mixing some of the ensemble together a little more. It makes them feel more like a group instead of a bunch of isolated story lines being told in the same hour. This is definitely a change for the better. I know fans have been asking for more blending of the characters for a long time, so it is a good thing to see. I'm looking forward to next week!

I loved the appearance of "hot and cold" Liam in this episode's opener! It was fun to see him do the "ditch the clingy girl" routine and he did it well, showing his obvious frustration at the whole situation before cooking his own goose when he tried to put on a show for Annie. He does the cocky guy so well!

I find it enjoyable that we are also getting to see Liam on some unstable ground right now. He has always been so forward and self assured in the past, so it is nice to see what he can do when the rug is ripped out from under him. I giggled over the uncomfortable window gawking and the reapplied layers of cologne, loving the facial expression that went with that. I do appreciate that Liam is out trying to find legitimate work though AND that he will take what its offered even if he doesn't like it. That shows character to me. However, I do think Liam has proven he is still very naive ... though maybe partly from desperation, to drop everything and go with the first nice stranger he meets. I would have certainly been looking that gift horse in the mouth before running off to accept the offer! I knew it had to be too good to be true, though I thought the story was going to go in the crazy cougar direction, not the psycho daughter direction so that was a surprise.

I applaud the writer's for turning Liam's world upside down a bit, thus giving Matt the opportunity to show some of his acting skill. He definitely can pull off those moods swings well, and it is nice tosee more depth and roundness to the character. I look forward to seeing how things will continue to develop between the brother's and what the big awful secret is there.

I will end my post with my usual complaint though ... let's all say it together ... "Not enough Liam". This isn't me just complaining because I like Matt's character, but because whenever Mr. Lanter comes on the screen the whole show lights up to a new dimension. I'm not the only to say this, as I have heard several people make the same kind of comments. Matt is a really great caliber of actor and I would really love to see his talents brought a little more front and center on this show. I think with the proper storylines for him the ratings would go through the roof, because face it...he's just that good!

What’s your secret in scheduling work on both series? Do you do Star Wars in your off 90210 hours?

Well, I have the help of my manager, who runs my schedule for me, or else I would go insane. I’m contracted on the show, so any time we get dates to record Star Wars, we will take those dates to the show and ask if I could have the afternoon or the day off from 90210. Somehow we seem to make it all work.

You’re a pretty young guy. Growing up, were you first introduced to the Star Wars prequels or the original trilogy?

When I was 13, 14, I went and rented a couple of the prequels, because those were the newest ones out. That’s what I had seen commercials for. It really wasn’t until after booking this job that I watched all of them and really understood how it all connected and how it all pieced together. I am a new fan, I guess, within the last several years. I’m a hardcore fan now. [Laughs]

Don’t you have to be? That seems like it could be a George Lucas requirement.

You kinda do have to be. You don’t ever want to get stumped at a Star Wars convention by some random kids or something coming up and saying, “Well, when Luke was on Hoth…,” and then you have no idea. You have to be on your game. [Laughs]

Three seasons in, what do you still find fun about voicing Anakin?

Everything about it is still fun for me. They’re like these little 22-minute movies, so it’s really, really cool to be able to see it firsthand first before anyone else does. And then you have the process of the actual voice recording, and we always have fun. The cast gets along so well and Dave is such a great guy and such a talented supervising director. He knows exactly what he wants and he’s a Star Wars super-fan, so we’re always in good hands. Everyone is so passionate about the project, from the cast to the animators and everyone at Lucasfilm, and it comes straight from George. We all understand how huge this is. We are making Star Wars history — it’s every bit as important as the films and filling in gaps. And then on to the fans and signings and Star Wars conventions, I actually love doing that stuff. It’s fun to get out there and celebrate Star Wars with everyone else and be a fan and geek out on it for a bit, and you get to hear the reaction to our work live and in person. As a purely selfish thing, it’s really satisfying and validating to hear and talk to people who like it so much and to see the Clone Wars influence on the Star Wars world.

Anakin has always been slightly tortured, but The Clone Wars finds him more heroic than anything. Everyone knows the path he eventually goes down, though. Does the Dark Side ever slip into your performance, to show shades of the Anakin who will come later?

We are very conscious of that. Dave loves to throw in those dark moments, and so do I. I think it’s fun. It helps connect everybody. Some people think it’s just for kids — I happen to think the show is for everybody. Those moments like that really help to validate that it is Star Wars and it is for adults. It’s happening a lot more and more as the seasons go on. But as far as playing that as a line-by-line performance for me, I’m not. Anakin’s not thinking about that either. He doesn’t know that he’s going to do that. We take those moments and we do them, and Anakin becomes dark in those moments, but for the most part, he’s still a fun guy who’s charming and witty.

Who is your favorite Star Wars character other than Anakin?

I like Han Solo a lot. He’s just so charismatic and he’s just like a guy’s guy. Other than Han, I like R2-D2. [Laughs] He’s a best friend, like a good dog.

What similarities have you found between Anakin and Liam?

Liam and Anakin both have their dark moments, that’s for sure. They both have grown up and been raised with some bad things happening. They both have trouble with their parents. In some ways, they’re similar. I feel like hardcore Star Wars fans would hate me for even trying to compare a 90210 character to Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, but just because you’re asking me, I’ll do it. [Laughs] Of course, they do have their brooding dark sides, but both of them actually have good hearts and they intend on doing the right thing and they want to do the right thing. Even as Anakin is turning into Darth Vader, he believes he’s doing the right thing. He believes the Republic has gone corrupt and he is on the right path.

Are any of your 90210 co-stars Star Wars fans? Do any of them geek out because you’re Anakin on TV?

I can talk to a few of them. Tristan Wilds and Michael Steger think it’s pretty cool. AnnaLynne McCord is a big Star Wars geek. In fact, I keep meaning to get her a Star Wars shirt. She grew up on Star Wars and is a huge fan of Han Solo — I’ve seen a particular shirt I need to get, a blue shirt with Han Solo on it — and I’ve got to get that for her.

When you go to conventions, do you find that you’ve converted 90210 fans to Star Wars, or Star Wars aficionados to 90210?

Yeah, definitely. I’ve experienced that at signings and stuff, but I have a Twitter that’s open to fans. It’s actually me tweeting and I get a lot of fan reaction there too. I know there are at least a group of fans out there who are fans of both and have watched 90210 because they knew my voice and knew me as Anakin, and vice versa. It’s kind of cool that I’m spanning two different types of fans.

Have you been able to get more into “geek” stuff with your Star Wars experience?

Even before Star Wars, I leaned toward geeky anyway. I’m a huge fan of electronics and a big tech nerd. I’ve got tech and gadget websites that I visit daily, and this is all before Star Wars. Star Wars really appeals to that side of me, and I’m just a fan of sci-fi in general. Always have been. My dad’s a big fan, so I think I get that from him. I’m into the old Twilight Zones that play on Nick at Nite and all that stuff, so Star Wars fits right in with me. It’s not a stretch for me to be a fan at all.

Have you been given the official R2-D2 Droid phone?

No, I don’t have one yet. I have an iPhone. Maybe I should ask somebody for it. I saw Dave tweeted a picture, so I think he’s got one. I gotta tell you, though, I do have The Imperial March as my ringtone.

When that goes off on the 90210 set, does anyone give you any grief?

No, because there are so many Star Wars fans out there, you wouldn’t even know it. People who aren’t super-geeks, they still enjoy Star Wars. So when I come to set wearing my Stormtrooper or Boba Fett hoodie, it usually strikes up a conversation, like ‘Oh yeah, Boba Fett is one of my favorite characters!” I don’t get grief at all. I think there’s a perception that you have to be geeky or nerdy to like Star Wars, and I don’t think that’s it at all actually. It’s very mainstream. We see it with all these really cool clothing lines, like the Marc Ecko Cut & Sew collection and the Adidas shoes. Anybody would like them. It’s not a geeky thing anymore.

Well today would normally be the day I did The Liam Reel from last night's episode, but since last night was a repeat (darn it), I thought I would give you a couple of pics instead. These are actual from an old photoshoot of Matt with photographer Elias Tahan (who is AWESOME), and while Matt is fully clothed in these pics, he is sporting some amazing "drag your fingers through it" bed head. Seriously, does this guy get up in the morning looking this way? Must be nice! 90210 star Matt Lanter’s favorite Disney moving growing up was Aladdin — but not just because he’s a sucker for toe-tapping musical numbers. Matt admits he had the hots the movie’s leading lady, Princess Jasmine! “Jasmine is my cartoon crush,” Matt, 27, told HollywoodLife.com exclusively Oct. 7 at his Hand Print Ceremony at NYC’s Planet Hollywood Times Square. “Those sheer little top things she had on … yeah, basically what I’m saying is Jasmine is my crush!”

“Aladdin is just a great story,” Matt continued. “Aladdin was just a fun character who kind of came up with nothing and ended up with the with the princess.”

And Matt’s love of Disney movies continues, as he’s providing the voice of Sled in Tinker Bell and the Mysterious Winter Woods, scheduled to be released in 2011.

“The best part about voiceover work in general is that it’s a whole different side of the industry and all the voiceover actors are so cool and down to earth,” Matt told us. “You don’t have to put on a face. You just be real with them. … It’s so cool because I get to be creative in two completely separate outlets, One being on camera, and one as a different world where you have to use your voice and have to express what the character is feeling.”

This Week's Liam Reel "Catch Me If You Cannon" plus Young Hollywood Video

I hate to start right off with a complaint, but I think 90210 is still seriously suffering from "Lack of Lanter" syndrome. Don't get me wrong, I do love the other story lines that are going on with all the characters right now, and since they have been SO GOOD that sort of helps to make up for the missing Matt, but not entirely. If I counted right, Liam appeared in this episode a total of three times for LESS than three minutes of screen time!! That's just not right. I think when working with an ensemble cast the writers should work the story lines so all the characters are getting ample screen time, even if they are a background character to another story. When you are a show that is blessed to have an actor who is the caliber of Mr. Lanter, you should not be wasting that talent. This guy has proven he is movie star quality, why aren't we seeing him? Hey CW!! You aren't utilizing your greatest asset!!

Of course the few scenes Matt did appear in were wonderful, shining like gems as usual. I am totally intrigued with whatever "went down" between Liam and his brother in the past. I think the conflict in this storyline has a nice feel to it. I like Liam when he is in his tough edge mode, so I actually enjoyed seeing him get a bit snippety with both his brother and Annie. I also enjoy watching to see how resourceful Liam will get now that he is down on his luck, and relying completely on himself to survive. I'm anxious to see where this arc will take him.

I still really enjoyed the rest of this episode. I like that fact that the show seems to be trying to attack some more serious issues and they aren't rushing them so badly, like we've seen in the past. There has definitely been an improvement there. However, my rating is going to go down a little bit because I just didn't think it had quite as much build up as a couple of it's predecessors did, and I really am more than a little puzzled over how little we are seeing Matt.

My rating for this week is still good, but drops to: 4 out of 5 stars.

Matt Lanter visited the "Whatever Show with Alexis and Jennifer" recently where he revealed that he had audtition for the role of Edward Cullen in the original Twilight saga and was told he wasn't "hauntingly beautiful" enough for the role. Saaaaay Whaaaaat? I would like to know what strength the prescription lenses were for that casting director because I'm thinking maybe the phrase "legally blind" needs to be added to it. This week's "Liam Reel" from The Bachelor's Episode

To start off I have to say I was very happy to see the increase in Liam scenes this week. I hope that the trend will continue and we'll be seeing more and more of him as time goes on! (Can you tell I really am completely okay with this turning into the "Liam Show"? Or perhaps we need a Liam spinoff series? That would be fun too!)

This was a fun episode, and one of the best things I liked about it was that we got to see Liam in many different moods. Excited, nervous, flirty, unsure, confident, not-so-confident, irritated, angry, and VERY thirsty, all, of course, while he was making our mouths water because he was mostly shirtless, shirtless, shirtless! I have to say that coming up with Matt's wardrobe this season seems to have been an extremely easy task for the wardrobe department. I'm thinking virutally no budget what-so-ever there, though I'm sure it's pretty safe to say that no one is complaining either because Matt has been rockin' that nicely cut physique of his!

I also enjoyed watching "proactive Liam", who decided to go after what he wanted, despite his rocky start with Annie. I liked that he tried putting some effort into things that he thought would please her, albeit didn't turn out as he had hoped, and I thought it was a nice change that he came right out and told Annie what he wanted instead of being all sulky and "sullen"(ha) because he wasn't getting his way. Of course, that may all be a moot point now that he knows that his brother is in the picture.

It was fun to see Matt strutting his stuff at the charity auction, though I wish they would have featured him a little more, but as a former member of a dance team, I have to say I thought he was looking pretty good. (Way to step out of your comfort zone in the name of entertainment Matt!) I also loved how he pulled off the whole "looking extremely uncomfortable" feeling during the auction. I was actually uncomfortable for Liam while I was watching and found myself emitting a couple of nervous chuckles here and there.

By the end of the episode our poor, dear, Liam was back to his dark, brooding, bad boy self which we all know, love, and can't get enough of!! As many of you know, I have always been a fan of the tortured bad boy so I REALLY like seeing Liam when he is acting out, tough, and out of control. It shoots his X Factor right through the roof!! I would be totally okay with watching him lose it completely...maybe going all "Jasper Attack" on say Mr. Cannon, or Oscar, or his step dad, real dad, brother, stranger on the street............and so on, and so forth, etc., etc., etc.! You get my drift! And just a little "P.S." to that statement- hot, bad boy, tossing-a-girl-against-the-wall kisses rock too!! No one does those better than Matt, so let's see some more of those too! Okay, I will stop now. This is beginning to sound like a request letter to the CW network! (ha ha)

I greatly enjoyed the whole rest of the show as well. (Yes! I actually noticed there were other characters and story lines going on!) It was certainly another very good week! I'm glad to find things staying at such an interesting pace! Way to go!

On-Set Report: 90210's West Bev Boys Work It a la Chippendales

Filming this week’s episode of 90210 was hard on the boys. Michael Steger didn’t sleep. Blair Redford’s first reaction was a depressed sigh. Trystan Wilds said the rehearsals were crazy.

Wearing only a pair of firemen pants and suspenders, Matt Latner lowered his voice between takes on set in Long Beach and confided, “I can’t say I’m going to be upset when this day is over.”

But, oh, gentle viewers, they’re doing it all for you. And by “all,” I mean dancing and performing a bit of striptease on stage to the tune of Sean Kingston‘s “Fire Burning.”

The performance is in the name of charity. “In this episode, we’re doing a bachelor auction,” Lanter explains. “Silver is selling us off for a cancer benefit. And we have this nice little dance that we get to do. In firemen outfits. With no shirts.” Only Teddy (Trevor Donovan) was saved from participating.

Getting the scene right involved dozens of takes. Hips were ordered to swivel harder. Coats were ripped off repeatedly in front of swooning girls. When AnnaLynne McCord arrived to be part of the audience, she was impressed by her co-stars.

“It’s heaven. Beautiful men running around in firemen outfits dancing for me. Everything turned into a haze, and then I was off in a fantasy dreaming ,” said McCord, who plays Naomi. “I kept running into the boys all week and they kept going, ‘Oh, I have to do dance rehearsal on my off days.’ I say if dance rehearsal on an off day is what they had to do to prepare for this, it’s so worth it.”

The actors were good sports, even while some of them were visibly uncomfortable walking around in faux firemen gear. TVGuide.com was around to ask each of them about how they felt on the day of their dancing debut, premiering Monday at 8/7c on the CW:

Steger (Navid): “I got like three hours sleep last night. I had such anxiety over this dance. I wanted to get it right. They handled it like boot camp. We rehearsed it for 6-8 hours straight. I had trouble with the hip shakes. It was hard. I wanted to laugh. … I watched our rehearsal video like 20 times at home. And then I slept on it hoping osmosis would work on me. I’ve never really danced like this before. They’re having us do some serious Chippendales action. Not everybody is capable of that, or comfortable. But I’m looking at it like it’ll be great for the sake of comedy.”

Lanter (Liam): “We rehearsed for two days, so it’s been a process. It’s very Thunder from Down Under. I think all the girls are going to like it. We’ll just swallow our pride. There are pelvic thrusts galore … We got a bunch of cheering ladies out there and we’re pelvic-thrusting down the catwalk. Good times.”

Wilds (Dixon): “We have a lot of people around us making us look better, so it’s cool. The rehearsal was crazy. I mean, it was fun. The moves seemed fairly easy to learn. It was sort of strenuous at times. But now I can do this dance in my sleep, I think I did do it in my sleep last night, which is why I didn’t get any sleep.”

Redford (Oscar): “Uh, it’s not really my forte, doing the whole synchronized dancing firemen on stage. It’s not something I’ve ever prepared for. My first reaction was probably a depressed sigh. I probably looked at the ground and shook my head. But then when I found out it was for charity on the show and it wasn’t, you know, real, I felt a little bit better. I felt like it was something I could pull off. No, I’m kidding. This is really my dream. This is the pinacle. What more can you ask when you’re ripping off firemen clothes?

For the Fans of Matt Lanter!

In the world of pop culture and today’s shooting stars of the media, we often find ourselves “terming” the things that we really love. From such iconic phrases like, “Team Edward” or “Team Jacob”, to even celebrities like Lady Gaga calling her fans “Little Monsters”, we see people looking for ways to be categorized in with groups of likes or even dislikes.

I find that this phenomenon is no different when dealing with Matt Lanter fans. When I first started promoting Matt to some of my fans, we fondly adopted the term of “Matt Lanterism”. Matt Lanterism was jokingly referred to as a religion of sorts, where fans could get together to hold “worship services” daily. All were welcomed with open arms into the congregation. When groups of these fans started getting together on Twitter or Facebook at the same time to talk about Matt, those events came to be known as “Matt Fests”. Topics of conversation included anything from what were the favorite shows that he had been in, to speculation on how good of a kisser he is in real life. Those conversations are starting to grow so big now that it’s becoming necessary to use the #MattLanter handle on Twitter, because there are no characters left for tweeting when talking to everyone at once.

Matt has been a tremendous sport in all of this fan madness. I say this since there have been a few times now that these “Matt Fests” have bled over into his personal twitter account. Especially now that he follows me on Twitter, he is guaranteed to get at least MY side of all those conversations in his timeline. (I’m trying to keep it to a minimum Matt…honest! But the tweeps sure LOVE to talk about you!)

So here is a question for you. Several Matt Lanter fans have said they would like a “catchy” name that they can call themselves. What should that name be? I thought of a few possibilities that could work. Try these on for size:

Lanterites? Mattsters? Matties? Matt Addicts? Lanter Lackeys? Matt Minions? Lanter Lovers? Matt Mates? Lanterians? Mattadores? (ooh I kinda like that one!)

I’m sure the possibilities are endless. What about you Matt? What do you think your fans should be called?

I would love to hear all of your opinions and suggestions. I, personally, love being a “Lanter Lass” and I think a fan name for his followers would be great!

I have my phone set up to get tweet alerts from Mr. Lanter and I often find myself snickering out loud over some funny things in some not-so-appropriate places now and then!

I have to say I GROANED before laughing out loud and showing this to everyone in my party who got a great chuckle out of it. My husband, who works in the emergency room at our regional hospital said if Matt walked into the ER looking like this the first thing he would do is order a stat drug screen on him! haha Sorry Matt, but I'm afraid this one just doesn't do you justice, although it might be better than your "Dress Up Matt Lanter" avatar. That one had me guessing on your gender a bit!! :)

This week's "Liam Reel"

If you aren't watching 90210 lately then I have one thing to tell you...you are missing out! I have to say that so far, this has been my favorite season of the show, and I hope it will continue that way.
I must admit that I started watching this show in the very beginning of season one and I lost interest after a few episode. Luckily, I was still recording it on my DVR and I managed to notice the timely arrival of a certain Matt Lanter. Matt and his portrayal of Liam got me hooked to the show again. In all honesty though, I have to say he was the primary reason that I kept watching this show.
This season, however, I find myself loving the depth of the story lines for all the characters, despite what I refer to as an "alarming lack of Liam". In my opinion, the writing for the show has been stepped up a notch, and the characters are becoming more rounded instead of stereo type typical.
One of the new things I love about Matt Lanter's character, is the addition of a more quick witted humorous side. For instance, the brooding and sulky Liam is being interviewed for a reunion video and suddenly pops up with a joke, calling out, "Hey Teddy! How did you get so fat?" My family and I died laughing! Liam has been getting several funny little quips in lately and Matt pulls them off very well!
My only complaint of the season so far....it needs more of Liam! I know Matt is a busy guy with lots of projects going on at the moment, so I'm sure scheduling has been difficult for him. Hopefully we will see a lot more of him in future episodes!
My rating of this week's episode: 5 stars

Was there ever really any doubt? Sugarscape revealed their list of the "HOTTEST LADS" of 2010, only to cast our super fav, Matt Lanter, as their numero uno pick! Do we agree with their top choice....ummmm, Heck Yeah! We here at OFWAW are just left to wondering why it hasn't happened sooner, and why he isn't on the cover of every mag rag out there? Maybe the rest of the world is just slow to catch up? Anyway, congrats Matt on claiming the trophy! We all knew you had it all along!

Matt has also been featured in the Snog, Marry, and Avoid contest at Sugarscape on more than one occasion, walking away with the coveted "Marry" choice both times. Must be a truly great guy who can capure the "commitment" catagory for so many ladies! Way to go Mr. Matt!

Jana Burson of Lake Township is a proud, doting mother like so many others. The difference is that her son, Massillon-born Matt Lanter, is a rising star of television and movies.

Recently, Burson attended a screening of the current comedy “Vampires Suck” with about 20 of her friends. “I thought it was really funny,” she says. Lanter plays the leading role of solemn, pale vampire Edward Sullen in this spoof of the “Twilight” movies.

At her son’s insistence, “I had to endure all those ‘Twilight’ movies beforehand so I would get the jokes,” Burson says. “Those movies are so silly, all they have to do is amp it up one notch and it becomes hilarious.” (click title to read more)

Prior to “Vampires Suck,” Lanter, 27, was the lead in another comic spoof, “Disaster Movie.” He also appeared in “Sorority Row,” a slasher movie that featured Carrie Fisher, and starred in “Wargames: The Dead Code.”

On the CW series “90210,” Lanter plays Liam Court, a sensitive bad-boy surfer type a la Luke Perry’s Dylan McKay in the original “Beverly Hills 90210.”

Asked about watching her son on “90210,” Burson pauses then says, “It’s interesting. The makeout scenes are kind of hard to watch as a mom. They get pretty intense. I’m pretty conservative, so I sometimes watch it through my fingers.”

Lanter also provides the voice of Anakin Skywalker on the animated series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” now in its third season on The Cartoon Network. His big break was playing the son of U.S. President Geena Davis on the 2005 ABC-TV series “Commander in Chief.”

On a short break from filming “90210,” Lanter returned to Lake Township this week. “When he comes home, it’s usually three things. He sees his girlfriend, he goes to church and he golfs (with his stepfather Val Burson),” Burson says. “He likes to go to the ice cream stand and play cornhole. He doesn’t have to be ‘on’ when he’s home.”

About her son, who attended Whipple and Northwood elementary schools locally before moving to Atlanta at age 8, Burson says, “Matt’s a good kid, a good person and very humble.”

"Meeting" Matt Lanter!

If any of you had the chance to read the author Q&A section while it was posted on here, you read that actor Matt Lanter was a huge inspiration to Lacey when she came up with the idea for the character of Vance Mangum. Matt has been a great help to Lacey. Read the following to get the story in her own words! (click title to read more)

"I was driving my Mustang down the road one day, taking my daughter out to look for college apartments in another town. I had recently started working on a story idea. The plot was originally going to revolve around two best girlfriends and what they went through when they found out one of them actually had magical powers. I had written the first chapter of the story and had decided to ponder further on plot ideas, utilizing the three hours of driving time I had on this trip we were taking.

It was during this time that I decided I needed to add

a male character to the story, a hot, hunky guy who could be the boyfriend of the female protagonist. I wanted someone who could spice things up. As we drove down the road we passed a sign that had the name Vance on it.

"Vance," I thought to myself. "That would be a cool name for a bad boy kind of character. But what would his last name be?"

At that moment my daughter's roommate started talking about some people that she had been visiting with whose last name was Mangum and suddenly I had the name for my character.

"So, what would this character look like?" I thought. Instantly the image of a handsome young actor leaning up against an orange car popped into my head. He was dark haired, wearing a leather jacket, and for the life of me I couldn't remember where I had seen him before. I dug furiously through my memories finally thinking that I may have seen him on an episode of the new 90210 which I had been recording on my DVR but hadn't really been watching at the time.

When I got home from our trip I started watching those episodes and I looked the show up on the CW's page to find out who he was. I found out that his name was Matt Lanter and he was currently listed as a guest star on the show but it was rumored he was going to be made a series regular for season two. I looked Matt up on IMDB to see what else he had been in and I ended up ordering all of his other movies, as well as watching some of his other television episodes from other shows on line. I found that I LOVED his acting style! Everything he did, from the way he moved, facial expressions, and even his voice inflections, were amazing! I loved that he could flip so easily back and forth between drama and comedy roles as well. Which, having a little bit of acting experience in my own background, I know that is a sign of a very good performer. Matt firmly became the image of Vance Mangum in my head and once Vance entered the story he completely took it over. The original plot line was scrapped and a new story evolved, the story of Vance Mangum through the eyes of his love interest, Portia Mullins.

After I had finished writing the first book, Of Witches and Warlocks: The Trouble with Spells, I passed it around for friends and family to read. I was surprised at how much everyone loved it and they begged me to please let them read the second book which I was currently working on. Probably one of the greatest compliments I received at the time was when my 15 year old niece took down all of her Twilight stuff and started hanging quotes from Vance and pictures of Matt in her room. She soon had all of her friends converted to what I fondly refer to as "Matt Lanterism". I think they may have started the first local chapter in our small town. I have since heard of other similar little Vance/Matt fan clubs in other areas as well.

After the first book was published someone suggested to me that I ought to send a copy of it to Matt Lanter since he had been such an inspiration to me for my character. I laughed and thought there was no way I would ever do that! However, the comment stuck with me and I finally thought, "Why not? What would it hurt?" (Aside from the fact that Matt might think I was a complete idiot!) So, I contacted his publicist by email, telling her about my book and how Matt had been my muse for the project and asked her if I could perhaps send him a copy.

I was completely surprised when she emailed me back immediately and told me I had great taste because "Matt is terrific." She gave me her address and I mailed my book to him along with a very long winded letter explaining about the book, the character, and my experiences so far.

Shortly after that Matt opened an account on Twitter and quickly began building a following. I decided on a whim one day to tweet him and see if he had received the book, though I didn't really expect to hear back from him, knowing that actors are busy people. I was so surprised when I came home from church one Sunday to find that he had answered me. He said he had received the book, hadn't had time to read it yet, but was looking forward to it. I was doubly excited when a few days later he retweeted the "Official" release of the book, sending nearly a thousand hits to my webpage that day alone and several hundred more in the days following while the tweet was still on his main page. (He had less than 4000 followers at the time!) I knew in that moment I was going to be a fan of Matt's for life! I just wanted to give him a big hug and a kiss and tell him thank you so much because I ended up making some really good contacts out of the people he sent to me.

Since that time I had book two, The Demon Kiss, get published and it joined book one in the world of readers who are salivating over Vance Mangum. I sent the second book to Matt as well, and I was very surprised when his publicist contacted me and said that Matt's manager would like to read them too. I have been fortunate enough to speak to Matt a few times on Twitter (He has since started following me too!! FUN!!) and have emailed a few times back and forth with his publicist and manager. I have to say that they have all been very nice and supportive!

Even though I haven't had the chance to meet Matt in person, I can honestly say I think he is one of the nicest people I have ever "met". Give him a follow on Twitter or friend him on MySpace and check out his work. He is a gifted actor and a great person! You won't be sorry you did."
